Ulster University will host the Child Vision Research Society Conference on 19th - 21st June 2017.

The Paediatric vision research team are delighted to welcome delegates to the XVI meeting of CVRS on our Coleraine campus on the beautiful north coast of Northern Ireland.

The conference is open to researchers from across a broad range of disciplines working in the area of paediatric vision.

Our keynote speakers are internationally recognized researchers and their work will compliment the three themes of the research conference:

C0029-Kulp_Marjean_COMPRESSEDThe first is Professor Marjean Kulp, from Ohio State University in the USA, who will be speaking about the VIP-HIP Study and its investigation of hyperopia in preschool children and its effect on educational and visual outcomes.
The second is Dr Els Ortibus, who will talk about her work in the assessment and diagnosis of Cerebral Visual Impairment with the supplement of brain imaging technologies.  She is a paediatric neurologist from the University of Leuven, Belgium.288851
seminar_main_anitasimmersThe final Keynote is Professor Anita Simmers, from Glasgow Caledonian University. Anita is an internationally recognised researcher in clinical and behavioural neuroscience and will speak about neural plasticity in amblyopia.
